Can I get a job collecting headlines for Jay Leno?

November 27, 2012

I'd like to go behind the scenes at Jay Leno's research department to see who scours the nation's newspapers looking for material for his popular "Headlines" segment. Reading all of those papers sounds like great fun to me, but I'm weird that way.

Leno's researchers must have short-cuts for finding funny stuff, or maybe they get enough just through readers mailing the show. If the latter is so, a Victoria Advocate reader must have enjoyed a recent "Question of the Day."

About 2:40 into the video below, you'll find the Advocate featured with a question about the elections. Yes, readers really do say the darnedest things.
