Question of the day: Solicitation outside stores

November 16, 2012

It's happened to all of us. That trip to the grocery store, drug store or major retailer starts with a series of solicitations outside the store. From school groups to well-known charities to other organizations we may have never heard of, getting hit up for donations outside the store is a common practice. How do you feel about that? Do you donate? Would you rather not be bothered? Does it depend on who's asking? We'd like to know. I'll be at Halepaska's Bakery until 10 a.m. Stop by and let me know what you think. And look for reporter Jessica Priest's article on this topic online and in print on Saturday. See you soon.
