Energy Secretary is on his way out

February 1, 2013

There's always a lot of turnover at the beginning of a new term of office and this second round with President Obama is no exception.

EPA head Lisa Jackson announced she was done, as did Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, who oversaw the offshore drilling moratorium after the BP oil spill and promoted alternative energy. Now, Energy Secretary Steve Chu has announced he is leaving. This happens a lot at the start of a second term, but it's still interesting to see them heading out the door.

And now there's the fun of seeing who will fill their shoes.
