Victoria County Sheriff receives $72,676 in forfeited funds

Victoria County Commissioners will vote to receive and certify the sheriff's office "Asset Forfeiture Report" for the Attorney General's office.

The report shows from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 the sheriff's office collected $72,676 in forfeited funds.

The money can be spent on law enforcement-specific activities, including salaries, overtime and equipment. Victoria County spent $78,848 on equipment including computers, vehicles, software, maintenance and K9 related expenses.
