Man who robbed Port Lavaca convenience store at-large

Officers continued searching for a male suspect after a Port Lavaca convenience store was robbed Monday afternoon.

Josh Smith, a Port Lavaca Police Department detective, said the call came in around 12:20 p.m. from Times Market on Austin Street.

No one was harmed, Smith said.

The suspect walked into the store, pointed a handgun toward the store clerk and demanded cash, Smith said.

The amount of cash stolen has yet to be determined, Smith said.

The male subject looked to be in his mid-20s, wore a hooded sweatshirt and had his face partially obscured with a bandana, Smith said.
