The beat went on Thursday for the 39th annual Victoria Bach Festival with a percussion performance by Todd Meehan at the Golden Gecko.

The Baylor University associate professor played a selection of six songs, three by the festival's namesake, on his marimba and a set of drums.

The free noon concert brought music-lovers of all ages out to enjoy the rhythms. The festival will continue through Saturday with two performances each day.
