Victoria native performs solo orchestra at Ball State University

Hilary Janysek performed Otar Gordeli's Concertino for Flute and Orchestra, Op. 8 on Jan. 25 with the Ball State Orchestra in Muncie, Ind. She was featured as one of the winners of the Ball State Music Symphony Orchestra's Graduate Solo/Concerto Competition. Janysek is pursuing a Master of Music degree in flute performance at Ball State University, where she studies with Mihoko Watanabe and holds a graduate assistantship in music education. Janysek is a 2006 graduate of Memorial High School and is the daughter of Ron and Debbie Janysek, of Victoria.
