Fire

VICTORIA - A small fire broke out in the 3500 block of Wildwood Avenue late Thursday night. The fire was caused by a space heater, said Victoria Fire Department Battalion Chief Clifton Bayer. The residents of the home escaped without injury and were allowed back in once everything was checked out.

Arrested

VICTORIA - A 20-year-old Victoria man by deputies Thursday on suspicion of possession of controlled substances in a drug-free zone.

VICTORIA - Raymond Sergante Godino, 18, of Victoria, by deputies Thursday on a warrant charging him with possession of controlled substances in a drug-free zone.

VICTORIA - Geri Lynn Gonzales, 24, of Victoria, by deputies Thursday on a warrant charging her with injury to a child with mental disabilities.

VICTORIA - A 29-year-old San Antonio man by deputies Thursday on suspicion of assault causing injury to a family member.
