Navy Seaman Steven A. Ives recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.

Ives is a 2004 graduate of Midland High School in Pleasant Plains, Ark. He is the son of Ingrid Miesner, of Pleasant Plains, Ark.; and Brad Ives, of Cuero.
