An AARP safe driving course is being offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 120 S. Main St. in the Sam Houston Room on the second floor.

The cost for the course is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers. People who complete this course will qualify for an insurance discount.

Madlyn Hilton is the instructor for the class, which is being sponsored by the African-American Chamber of Commerce.
