Room in the Inn program offers free hotel stays on Christmas Eve

A Victoria hotel will offer free rooms to those with loved ones in hospitals, nursing homes or treatment centers Christmas Eve.

The Fairfield Inn, 7502 N. Navarro St., is taking part in TMI Hospitality's Room in the Inn program, a holiday giving initiative that has taken place for nearly 30 years, according to a TMI news release.

Last year, the company gave a free night's stay to nearly 3,000 people, according to the release.

The Room in the Inn program was created to help meet the needs of friends and families of hospitalized individuals who are separated from them because of health issues. All TMI Hospitality hotels are participating, and rooms will be available as each hotel's occupancy allows.
