Each and every day in the Victoria ISD, we work extremely hard to achieve the mission of our school district.
By focusing on "Every Child, Every Classroom, Every Day," we are committed to making our school district a better place to be, one student at a time.
With everyone's commitment and dedication to the success of every student, we indeed bring forth positive changes every day.
To further contribute to the hopes and dreams of our students, I would like to invite you to consider participating in this year's Victoria ISD Education Foundation Fund Drive.
The Victoria ISD Education Foundation began in 2008 and its purpose is to provide an innovative source of funding to support the school district's stated mission of excellence in education.
Since the Victoria ISD Education Foundation was initiated, it has raised more than $560,000 in cash and in-kind gifts and has awarded 120 teachers with grants to enhance our students' educational opportunities, and 32 graduates with scholarships to achieve their higher education dreams.
This year's Victoria ISD Education Foundation Fund Drive begins Monday and will conclude Nov. 30. This year's donation goal is $100,000.
We invite you to join us as we strive to achieve this level of success and further support the hopes and dreams of the students who sit in our classrooms, the graduates who walk our stage, the families who wish for something more for their children, and the teachers who make this possible.
The Victoria ISD Education Foundation is an approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization and your contribution is tax deductible. If you have any questions or require further information regarding the Foundation, you may contact our Executive Director, Mrs. Brittany Hollas, at 361-788-9271 or by e-mail: brittany.hollas@visd.net or visit the Foundation's website at visdfoundation.com.
It has been said that life is like a game of tennis. Those who serve well enjoy the most success. On behalf of our Board of Trustees, the VISD Education Foundation and the entire VISD, thank you for your service as a "Champion for our Children" and for reminding us all that the VISD is too great for small dreams.
Robert Jaklich is the superintendent for the Victoria Independent School District. Contact him at 361-788-9202 or through the VISD website visd.com.
