While August was relatively quiet weather-wise, it set a record for the hottest day in the month and had three 100-degree days. Aug. 30 was the hottest day of the month, setting a record at 105 degrees and breaking the old record of 103 set in 2000.

Other 100-degree days were Aug. 21 (100) and Aug. 29 (102).
