Sandra McKenzie is the most qualified to serve as District Judge because of her courtroom experience, knowledge of the law and even-handedness. I am very familiar with both candidates. I strongly support Sandra McKenzie. As a landowner, businesswoman and royalty owner, I sought Sandra's legal advice. Not only is she a very knowledgeable lawyer, but she treated me with dignity and respect. I know she would be the kind of judge that when a person left her court - win, lose or draw - they would leave knowing they had been treated fairly. She has added qualifications: she is a mediator, a person of deep Christian faith and is knowledgeable about the Texas prison system. As a charter member of the Texas Catholic Correctional Ministers of Texas and a volunteer chaplain for 10 years, I know the importance of a fair judge who will support recovery for victims and offenders. Sandra's well-rounded qualifications and wisdom will be an asset.
