Veterans parade was emotional experience

Editor, the Advocate:

My wife and I attended the "Parade That Never Was" (her idea). She stated that if the good people of Victoria went to the trouble to organize the parade, the least I could do was attend. I was very, very, very impressed. I am an Army Vietnam veteran, 1966, 1967 and, like others, had a hard time with the homecoming reception. I won't begin to talk about San Francisco. I found the parade very emotional, and I am not exactly noted for being an emotional type of man. I will treasure this memory forever.
