Three Victoria residents were arrested on charges of copper theft Wednesday after officers received reports of a stolen vehicle in the 1800 block of North Delmar Drive, according to a Victoria Police Department news release.
After pulling the car over, further investigation revealed they were reportedly involved in a burglary and copper thefts.
The driver, Peter Leach, 24, was arrested on charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft of material-copper, burglary of a building and engaging in organized criminal activity.
The two passengers in the vehicle, Spencer Butler, 31, and Ashley Nicole Charles, 20, were arrested and charged with theft of material-copper, theft, possession of stolen property and engaging in organized criminal activity.
The burglary was reported in the 100 block of Cozzi Circle. The copper thefts were reported from a business in the 200 block of Anaqua Avenue, a business in the 300 block of East Airline Road and a building in the 1400 block of North Wheeler Street.
