It began weeks ago, when advertisements leaked online and gathered steam as retailers promoted their deals.

On Tuesday, a line began forming outside the Victoria Mall.

And it all culminates this week.

Black Friday, the post-Thanksgiving rush for larger-than-life deals, is upon us. And this year, some retailers plan to start Thursday.

Up to 147 million people will shop this weekend, according to a National Retail Federation news release. More specifically, 71 million shoppers plan to shop, while another 76 million said they plan to wait and check out the in-store deals, according to the release.
