Editor, the Advocate:

On Nov. 7, I lost my son-in-law. Also, Sheriff T. Michael O'Connor, of Victoria County, lost his Chief Deputy Terry Simons. Well, we lost him, but God welcomed him home. I've lived with my daughter, Pat, and Terry for the last year and I know he'll be missed here. I want to thank the sheriff for what he has done for me in seeing that I got in the Veterans Parade by letting me ride with one of his men in one of their cars. This is not all. He sat at my table last year at the Marine Corp. Ball. Also, I have two grandsons who are deputies and one is a Victoria policeman. Thanks to all who liked or loved Terry. He was a great person. So is my daughter, Pat, who loved him.
