I knew Bennie Dupnik back when he killed Shorty. I was the same age, and he hung out with my group. He was a sick individual and had no friends. We tolerated him. The day he killed Shorty, he called me and wanted to know if I wanted to meet him at the bar. Thank God, I said no.

FYI, back in those days in Port A, if you looked of age, you could drink in a bar ... I did and he did.

I was at school the next day when I was told Shorty was killed, and my first words were, "Bennie did it."

I knew that if he ever got out of prison, he would kill again. He was a stalker and an obsessive personality. The violence I experienced firsthand from him. I knew he would kill again. The parole board has blood on its hands.
