Best Buffet: Golden Corral

Golden Corral's signature buffet was voted the best in Victoria three years running.

Kitchen Manager Lonnie Ervin said the restaurant features about 60 different buffet items and many made-to-order items.

"We try to run a clean atmosphere, of course," he said, but their quality and service is what has drawn sometimes 1,300 visitors daily, and 2,100 on Valentine's Day.

When they were voted best of the best last year, the promotion was Brazilian steaks. Ervin said this year the focus is on pan-seared seafood, including scallops, shrimp, crabcakes and tilapia, all cooked to order.

Golden Corral is open from 10:40 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:45 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
