Best festival: Victoria Livestock Show
The Victoria Livestock Show attracts 15,000 people each year. It's a 66-year-old tradition.
It was named best festival by the Advocate's readers.
The show focuses on the students and their projects from animals to homemaking, with the big prize coming at the end of the show - the livestock auction.
Those courageous enough can enter the karaoke contest. The event also includes wiener dog races, a parade, live music and a large carnival, said Dian Patterson, president of the Victoria Jaycees.
"This event has been around for years. Multiple generations have been a part of it," said Will Joseph, the livestock advertising chair.
