Best entertainment venue: Schroeder Hall

Sharon Kleinecke has fond memories of Schroeder Hall as a high school student.

"It was the place to go in the 1970s. We want it to be that local hang out again," she said.

She and her husband, Jack Kleinecke, would like to reclaim that title.

And this year, Advocate readers voted it the best entertainment venue.

People come to the dance hall for weddings, live entertainment and charity functions.

The Kleineckes stay busy.

"It's a lot of work, but it's a lot of fun," Sharon Kleinecke said.
