BRYAN - The Victoria Generals captured their second straight win over the Brazos Valley Bombers and moved into second place in the Texas Collegiate League.
Patrick Duncan hit a two-run single in the top of the sixth inning to lift the Generals to a 3-2 victory on Thursday night.
The Generals (14-8) had lost five straight to the Bombers (14-9) before defeating them here Tuesday night.
Trae Davis pitched five innings to pick up the win before being relieved by Memorial graduate Jeremy Flores. Dillon Newman pitched 2 2/3 innings to earn his first save.
Chad Kruse had two hits for the Generals, who return to Riverside Stadium to play the Acadiana Cane Cutters on Friday at 7 p.m.
