Montana E. Mote has recently been recognized as a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda, a national leadership and honors organization at Texas A&M University. The organization is dedicated to promoting and rewarding academic achievement and providing members with opportunities for community service, personal development and lifelong professional fulfillment. Mote is a 2011 graduate of Shiner High School. She is the daughter of Cathy Mote Goggans, of Shiner.
