3 local bands perform at Discovery Museum's Family Fun Fest

Three local bands will perform Saturday at the Family Fun Fest.

The bands, The Rackit, 24/7, and The Revival, have a good, local following, said Paige Gedvillas, interim director of the Children's Discovery Museum.

"There is some musical entertainment for everyone," she said.

This will be the second year for the festival's downtown location.

Main and Bridge streets between Goodwin Avenue and Constitution Street will be closed for the event.

The day's activities include inflatables, face-painting, food booths and Adopt-A-Pet.

Gedvillas said she's happy to have the festival in front of the museum. Last year, close to 4,000 people attended the event.

Although general admission is free, some of the activities require tickets.

The event serves as one of the museum's largest fundraisers.

WHERE: Outside the Children's Discovery Museum, 204 N. Main St., Victoria
