A woman was taken to the hospital at 3 p.m. Sunday after a passenger car collided with the truck she was riding in.

The female driver of the passenger car was exiting a Speedy Stop on John Stockbauer Drive when she hit the truck on the right passenger side. Victoria Police Department Sgt. Mark Jameson said the truck rolled and came to a stop in the eastbound shoulder of Houston Highway.

A female passenger sitting in the rear of the truck with a child in a car-seat, was transported to a nearby hospital, Jameson said. The male driver of the truck and child were not injured, he said.

Names of the parties involved in the accident were unavailable Sunday.
