HOUSTON - Rice's Ari Ince won the women's pole vault competition Saturday at the University of Houston's All-Comers Meet.
Ince, a Gonzales graduate, cleared 12 feet, 5.5 inches.
Texas A&M-Kingsville's Isaiah Glover and C.J. Griggs hit provisional qualifying marks for the NCAA Division II Championships.
Griggs, a Van Vleck graduate, went 48-8.75 and Golver, a Cuero graduate, went 48-6 in the men's triple jump. The school record in the event is 49 feet.
Other Texas A&M-Kingsville athletes competing in the meet were Yorktown graduate Ted Dugie, who cleared 14.7.25 in the pole vault and Memorial graduates Brittany Stafford, who had a time 8.11 seconds in the 60-meter dash and 26.87 in the 200, and Samantha Alvarez, who cleared 5-3 in the high jump.
