Internationally known sculptor and art car artist David Best unveils new works that incorporate automobile and auto racing themes. With Prayer Wheels, Best uses the automobile image in his work for the first time, saying his new works are “bringing a part of me that’s always been a love and passion into my work.” The works also serve as a tribute to Salvatore Scarpitta and Lloyd Silacci, two veteran race car drivers who were soldiers in World War II. Curated by Ann Harithas. The Nave is located at 306 W. Commercial and is open Tues - Sun from 1-5 pm and Thurs from 1-8 pm. 361-575-8227 or vrma@victoriaregionalmuseum.com.
